TCAPR Social Mixer Kicks Off Annual DC Bash
Last night, I attended one of the first of many more to come social events surrounding the annual Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Week. This social mixer, put on by TCAPR, was a nice little get together at the Lux Lounge, 649 New York Ave., NW.
Although Lux Lounge is in a neighborhood that is in transition, it is very nice inside. Wood décor. TCAPR event staff were helpful and I had no problems getting in. No food at this event though. Following this event, Derrick Green, Green Partners, Sam Davis, Prince George's County DPWT, and I retired over to Busboy and Poets to get a bite to eat. The fellowship afterwards was more important than the event.
Tonight, I think I'll check out Rev. Al Sharpton's reception over at ACLU headquarters as well as maybe drop in on that STEM4US reception at Pepco Edison Place.
